BioServe Space Technologies is a non-profit, NASA-sponsored Research Partnership Center (RPC) located at the University of Colorado—Boulder. Bioserve fosters commercial involvement in the space program. The affliates usually come from biotech, biomedicine and agriculture industries. Bioserve is also part of the Aeronautical Engineering program at CU-Boulder, thus a different type of market and section of the website. For the logo, a conservative, professional and knowledgeable image was created. The website redesign adhered to a tight budget, the site uses NASA photography, CU Bouldet photography with some images looking like Polaroid “snap shots.” The home page displays an animated gif that “flies” around the logo as the page opens. A screened-back image of Earth is used throughout the site. All illustrations/icons were custom designed. “I just wanted to let you know that EVERYONE absolutely loves the new website!
